Christopher Cartagena (1988) is a director and screenwriter from Alicante. Graduated in Audiovisual Communication at the Centro de Estudios Ciudad de la Luz, he continued his studies at Bande à part in Barcelona, graduating in screenwriting and film directing. During his training he began his career in the medium as part of the directing team of blockbusters such as "His Majesty Minor" or "The Impossible". His first short film "La Carrera" is selected in the Official Selection of the Sitges Film Festival pointing a path as a fantastic film director.

In 2014 he started working as a scriptwriter in the development team of Aliwood Mediterráneo, putting special emphasis on the creation of universes and the mixing of genres, combining the sci-fi with the popular, the millennial with the traditional: character dramas with fantasy wrappers.

Soon after, he moved to Madrid where he developed his career as an advertising director, working for brands such as Loewe, Aliexpress, Habana Club, Iberostar, El País or Pornhub. His most recent work is the summer campaign for Loterías y Apuestas del Estado, co-directed with Javier Ruíz Caldera.

In 2019 he forms the Spanish-Argentine collective "Paco Diavlo" for the creation of music videos for the Spanish-speaking market, from where he directs and produces several pieces under the pseudonym LA FAVORITA, working for artists such as Luca Bocci or Don Patricio.

In film directing his short film "Bicho" stands out, a sci-fi family drama, with several international selections such as the Holly Shorts in Los Angeles and the Cambodia International Film Festival. Recently his short film "Espronceda", a millennial portrait in a comedy style, won an award at the Notodofilmfest.

He is currently preparing a fiction series project with Dynamo Producciones as creator and director, destined for a platform.
